Joint Providership and Co-Sponsorship

The American Red Cross Office of Continuing Education is expanding our program to include Joint Providership and Co-Sponsorship. Through Joint Providership and Co-Sponsorship the Red Cross can collaborate with non-accredited organizations to enhance the value of their educational program and diversity of CE opportunities.

Joint providership gives accredited organizations the opportunity to collaborate with non-accredited organizations to enhance the diversity and value of their educational offerings.

Co-sponsorship is the joint planning of a pre-hospital/EMS CE activity between the Red Cross and a non-accredited organization. Non-accredited organizations apply and upon successful approval collaborate with the CAPCE-accredited Red Cross to deliver high quality education programs.

Who is Eligible?

Red Cross CE offers joint providership and co-sponsorship services to non-accredited healthcare programs seeking to offer continuing education credits linked to their content and events. Programs must complete the application process, meet accreditation standards. These applications will be evaluated and accepted on a case-by-case basis. Upon approval, the Red Cross will work with the program to ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards.

In support of improving patient care, American Red Cross is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The American Red Cross is an accredited provider of continuing education by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE).
