Commission on Accreditation For Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE)-Educator (7.00 hours)

This blended learning course combines online content with an in-person session for individuals seeking to become Basic Life Support instructors. Successful participants will receive a Basic Life Support Instructor certification and a Basic Life Support certification, both valid for 2 years.

1. Exhibit the characteristics required of an American Red Cross representative and role model.
2. Successfully perform skills at an appropriate skill level.
3. Follow the directives and procedures related to the conduct and administration of American Red Cross courses, including the Instructor Agreement and Instructor Code of Conduct.

This CE activity is accredited for 7.0 Educator CEH by The American Red Cross, an organization accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education.

I understand that the American Red Cross as a requirement of CAPCE accreditation will submit a record of my course completions to the CAPCE AMS. I further understand that my course completion records may be accessed by or shared with such regulators as state EMS offices, training officers, and NREMT on a password-protected need-to-know basis. In addition, I understand that I may review my record of CAPCE accredited course completions by contacting CAPCE.
