CDR CPEU Dieticians (1.00 hours), Nursing Continuing Professional Development Contact Hours (1.00 hours)

This regularly scheduled educational series is designed to support the healthcare team in maintaining and enhancing clinical competence, professional practice, and patient-centered care. The series provides ongoing education on current evidence-based practices, emerging clinical guidelines, quality and safety initiatives, and interprofessional care coordination relevant care settings.

1. Analyze current peer review literature to increase the knowledge base and confidence of the healthcare team in delivering care that is up to date and supported by the latest research.
2. Outline updated practice protocols using clear and effective verbal and written communication across the healthcare team.
3. Identify interprofessional, evidence-based practices to enhance individual and team performance, as well as patient outcomes.

In support of improving patient care, American Red Cross is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

Nurse Credit Designation

The American Red Cross designates this continuing education activity for 1.50 contact hours.

Dietician Credit Designation

Completion of this RD/DTR profession-specific or IPCE activity awards CPEUs (1 IPCE credits = 1CPEU).

If the activity is dietetics related but not targeted to RDs or DTRs, CPEUs may be claimed which are commensurate with participation in contact hours (1 hour/60 minutes = 1 CPEU). RDs and DTRs are to select activity type 102 in their Activity Logs. Performance Indicator selection is at the learner’s discretion.

American Red Cross designates this continuing education activity for 1.50 CPEUs.

Cancellation Policy

In the unlikely event of an activity cancellation, all registered participants will be notified via e-mail as soon as reasonably practicable, and no later than 24 hours after the cancellation decision is made. The notification will include the reason for cancellation (to the extent disclosable), any rescheduling information if available, and instructions for obtaining a refund of registration fees, if applicable.

• Refunds: Registration fees paid by participants for a cancelled activity will be refunded in full. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of the cancellation date.

• CE Credit: No CE credit will be awarded for a cancelled activity.
